Born Free Motorcoach to begin Canadian Sales


Humboldt, Iowa – Born Free Motorcoach which has been selling motor homes factory-direct across the United States for 41 years is now approved to sell its products in all Canadian provinces and territories. Dodgen Industries, Inc., the parent company of Born Free Motorcoach has been notified by Transport Canada that it has been added to its “Pre-Clearance” list. The “Pre-Clearance” listing allows the Canada Border Services Agency to quickly check the vehicle against their List of Vehicles Admissible from the United States, thereby facilitating the import process and minimizing a customer’s time and effort before, at and after the vehicle crosses the border. Doug Spencer, CEO of Dodgen Industries, Inc. said he “is highly optimistic about the significant growth opportunity that is now available with customers just north of our border”.

Additionally, Born Free Motorcoach has been certified to be in compliance with the Canadian Standards Association, CSA Z240 Recreational Vehicle Series of standards, by the independent Quality Auditing Institute (QAI) located in British Columbia. CSA certification provides third-party documentation that a product is in compliance with Canadian standards including plumbing and electrical system requirements, that CSA certified components are utilized, and required testing has been completed.

Born Free Motorcoaches available for Canadian import are offered on Ford chassis' in a variety of floor plans ranging from 20' to 27' in length.
