Holiday Park Resort
There's a 70-ton historic sailing ship perched
on the side of the road about one kilometre
south of Winfield in the Okanagan, B.C. This
ship is the landmark for Holiday Park Resort,
one of Canada's finest RV and Condo Resorts.
The ship was commissioned in 1903 as the
Orchard City II, and ran charters and shipments
for the sawmills up and down Okanagan Lake.
In 1948 a violent storm swept through the
valley and sunk the Orchard City II. In the late
1970s, after thirty years on the bottom, she was
raised from the depths, salvaged and restored
to serve as the landmark for the resort.
Holiday Park was founded on the shores of
Duck Lake in 1983 by Saul Sigal and Jody
LaFontaine, and has grown from an empty field
to become a year-round vacation destination
for more than 3,000 members and visitors
from 26 countries, every U.S. state and every
Canadian province. The Resort includes 68
leasehold condominium units, 47 timeshare
vacation condominiums, 500 leasehold RV sites
and 58 rental RV sites - all fully serviced and
landscaped.
Located just north of Kelowna, this luxurious
RV and condo resort is surrounded by
challenging golf courses, ski hills, crystal blue
lakes, orchards, world-renowned wineries, art
galleries, casinos, farmer's markets (seasonal),
and festivals.
One and two bedroom condominium units
from 372 sq. ft to 1,100 sq. ft., and all studio
suites are beautifully decorated, spacious and
furnished. On-site amenities and facilities
include pools, hot tubs, sauna, billiards room,
childrens' activity centre, on-site restaurants,
executive par three - 6 hole golf course, biking,
canoe and Kayak rentals, tennis and basketball
courts, and more.
Holiday Park Resort continues to be family
owned and operated. Dan Sigal, Saul's
youngest son, is the Team Coach and President.
He oversees the business and is supported by
a strong team of approximately 60 full and parttime
employees. Together, they are devoted to
ensuring the comfort and enjoyment of their
guests.
